Golf Tuition

The Golf Tuition section moves through the basic fundamentals of the set up to help provide an understanding of the golf swing.

Over the years many of us read books and magazines, watch golf videos and DVD's and invest in lessons from our local professional to improve our golf swing. The amount of information that we take in becomes 'lost' over time. Here we have endeavoured to extract the best of such information and incorporate it into a concise reference section available for you to view at any time.

The online golf lessons follow a logical path through the following swing fundamentals:

The Basics
An overall understanding of swing path relative to club face to enable you to see the need to strike the ball correctly.

The Grip
The importance of using the correct grip to ensure a square clubface at impact.

The Stance
An incorrect stance can lead to topped, thinned and wayward shots. Get this right and you are on the way to hitting more consistent strokes.

Posture
Correct posture is one of the most important aspects of the set up sequence, invaluable for correct ball striking.

Swing Set Up
Combining the elements of grip, stance and posture, the swing set up prepares us for the final swing movements.

The Back Swing
A smooth controlled backswing sets the tempo for the following ball striking actions.

The Down Swing
The final piece of the jigsaw. You've put it all together and are on the way to striking the ball consistently.

We then move on to specific actions such as driving, iron play, chipping and putting.

Course management and mental aspects of the game are also covered as aids to help achieve lower scores.
