Golf in Morocco

Anyone wishing to play golf in Morocco will encounter high class golf courses together with modern hotels and resorts which combine to provide one of the most exciting travel destinations in the world.

Morocco is a very safe country with an ancient tradition of hospitality for travellers to feel very welcome. It became an independent country in 1956 and since then the City of Marrakech has expanded into an important administrative and tourist centre providing a diverse range of facilities.

Attached to the Palmeraie Palace Hotel, located in a lush oasis approximately 15 minutes north of Marrakech, La Palmeraie Golf Course is a 18 hole, par 72 course designed by the famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. The course spreads over 77 hectares running through a valley with a mixture of palm trees, man made lakes and white sand bunkers strategically placed to capture the wayward shot.

The course has views of the snow-capped crests of the majestic Atlas mountains as a background & overlooks white medinas.

The ochre walls and green tiles of the magnificent Moorish styled club house provide a restaurant, bar and Pro Shop which provides club rental, buggies and caddies. The excellent practice facilities include a driving range, putting green and chipping green. Lessons are available from the resident professionals.

The golf course is part of a luxurious 5-star resort with fountains, five swimming pools with rooms elegantly furnished in a modern style. With 8 restaurants, night club, fitness centre, tennis courts and the 18 hole golf course, the Palmeraie Palace is a superb place to stay.

After your golf take the time to explore the historic city of Marrakech, the souks, Ben Youssef museum, tanneries, Royal Palace of Dar-el-Makhzen, Kutubia mosque, and especially the great Medina Souk which is a labyrinth market place featuring the traditional crafts of Morocco.
